Design
Acer has improved the Predator Helios 16 quite a lot when it comes to design. This gaming laptop comes with a revamped rear panel with an RGB light bar to spice things up. It also houses two Thunderbolt 4, one HDMI, and a power supply.
Also, the sRGB display delivers a WQXGA screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 px on a 16″ anti-glare screen. The laptop even provides a 165Hz IPS display with the ability to select a 240Hz one.
Performance
On the performance end, the Acer Predator Helios 16 (2023) brings the combination of Intel Core i9-13900HX and NVIDIA RTX 4080. The Core i9-13900HX processor has 24 cores (8 P-cores / 16 E-cores) with a max turbo frequency of 5.40 GHz. Moreover, The RTX 4080 graphics card present in this laptop provides an enhanced gaming experience with its Ada Lovelace architecture.
To enhance your gaming experience, the user can configure Helios 16 with up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR5 RAM. Also, storage of up to 2 TB of PCIe SSD in RAID 0 is provided for storing games.
Cooling
The Predator Helios 16 has a robust cooling system designed by Acer to accommodate its already high-performance gaming capabilities. Cooling this laptop are the two 5th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans and vector heat pipes that work together to efficiently dissipate heat away from the CPU and GPU. Additionally, the CPU is applied with liquid metal cooling, which keeps the laptop cool, even in Turbo mode.
