Design and GPU

The PS5 Pro has the same thickness as the PS5 digital version but is marginally taller than the PS5 thin model.  Compared to the PS5, the PS5 Pro has a better GPU with 28% quicker memory and 67% more processing units.  The console can now render games 45% faster thanks to this enhancement.

Storage and Performance 

 The PS5 Pro also improves hardware-accelerated ray tracing in addition to the GPU increase.  The ray tracing performance of the original PS5 can be doubled or tripled because to the increase in computing units.  More realistic lighting and reflections in supported games will be the outcome of this enhancement.

The internal capacity of the console is 2TB, which is twice as much as that of the typical PS5.  The optical disc drive, however, needs to be bought separately.

 AI-Assisted Upscaling of Images

 PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution is a new AI-powered image upscaling technology that Sony has unveiled.  This function upscales lower-resolution photos using AI.  Furthermore, it is anticipated that the upscaling will outperform the existing software-based methods, such AMD's FSR.

Game Enhancement and Extra Features

 The PS5 Pro seeks to balance performance and graphical fidelity by providing 60 frames per second with excellent images, doing away with the necessity for these toggles.

 More than 8,500 PS4 games can have their resolution and frame speeds improved by the new console's PS5 Pro Game Boost function.  The console also supports VRR, Wi-Fi 7, and 8K screens when they are available.
